2009 REGISTRATION OPENS ON JUNE 1ST AT 6:00 A.M.!!!

Welcome to the 29th Anniversary of the Sportspectrum River Cities Triathlon. The oldest,
largest, most recognized triathlon in the South. This year’s theme is found in the spirit of the
circus. Lots of great surprises, of course the best race packet and volunteers anywhere. On line
registration will open June 1 at 6:00 AM. Don't forget we filled our 1300 spots in 6 hours last year.
Don't miss out on the "Best Lil Triathlon in the South."
This year’s race will begin with a ½ mile swim in Cypress Lake. The 18.2 bike will be a loop
course around Cypress Lake Park with several rolling hills. The 5K run course follows a good portion
of the lake shore and is flat and fast. This course promises to be fun and challenging!!
ENTRY FEE
Individual Age-Group $85.00, entries after July 1, 2007 will be $100.00
If you have to withdraw from Sportspectrum River Cities Triathlon for any reason during June 2 –
July 3 a $30.00 refund will be sent to you. No packets will be mailed out to participants having to
withdraw. Your spot will be given out to a person on the waiting list. After July 3, 2009 – No
Refunds will be given out. No packets will be mailed out to participants having to withdraw. No race
transfers will be allowed.
RACE PACKET
Of course the best race packet anywhere!! This year’s packet promises to pack the same
great punch with a value of over $250.00!!!
PACKET PICK-UP
All athletes must pick up their own packet prior to racing. Packets will not be mailed out to
athletes prior to race. Packets may not be picked up by anyone other than competing athlete.
Every athlete must have a photo ID at packet pick up. NO ID, NO RACE, NO EXCEPTIONS!
Packet pick up will begin on Friday, July 31st from 12 noon - 6 p.m. All local & surrounding
area participants are urged to pick up packets on this day. Your wait can be extremely long on
Saturday. Packet Pickup on Saturday, August 1 will open at 10:30 am & close at 5:00 pm. All preregistered
participants must pick up packets by 5pm on Saturday, which means you need to be at
packet pick-up by 4:30 pm. At 5:30 pm athletes who are either on the waiting list or who would
like to participate are able to purchase all remaining spots into Sportspectrum River Cities
Triathlon. First come – First serve.
Do not show up after 5:00 pm on Saturday, August 2 – your packet will have been sold!!

Stick around after the race with family & friends and enjoy the biggest post race party.
Louisiana style by Clarke’s Tailgate Bar-B-Que. Gourmet water by IceHouse, pineapples, bananas,
and oranges and D’Anna Produce. Earthereal cookies, ice cold Nestle Water performance drink, and
always music and entertainment provided by Emcee Woody Nesbitt & Co.
IRONFISH KIDS TRIATHLON
The IronFish Kids Triathlon is being held in conjunction with the Sportspectrum River Cities
Triathlon. Race date is August 2, 2008 – 8:00 am start. This is a fun event for children ages 7-14
and everyone will be a winner on race day. All participants will receive an official IronFish T-shirt,
Kids IronFish backpack, other goodies, & a finishers medal. Come out and have the time of your
life!! Don’t forget to check out this kid’s only triathlon!! Distances – 7-10 year old (100ys, 5Kb,
1Kr) – 11-14 (200ys, 10Kb, 2Kr). Entry fee is $25.00 by July 21, 2007, $35.00 by July 31, and
$45.00 Aug 1 – 3. No raceday registration. Limit is 250 participants.
